Appleby Bermuda partner Gary Harris will speak at the Bermuda Business Development Agency’s Bermuda Executive Forum in New York on Thursday.

The forum will feature experts from a variety of industry sectors, including insurance, reinsurance, asset management, insurance linked securities, and digital assets business, the firm said, as well as panel sessions on business opportunities and innovative developments in Bermuda.

Mr Harris will participate on the panel ‘Captive insurance: your company’s risk-management advantage’. The session will examine the elements that differentiate Bermuda as a jurisdiction and cover topics ranging from reasons corporations choose captive insurance, the process to establish this type of self-insurance entity, and why Bermuda is the domicile of choice for captives.

Mr Harris is a partner in Appleby Bermuda’s corporate department, where he advises captives, commercial insurers, special purpose vehicles, insurtech companies, fintech companies and segregated account companies.
