Amateur photographer?s group launched
A new amateur photography group has been formed for the benefit of photographers of all levels, and photo enthusiasts.
Entitled ?The Bermuda Photography Meet-up Group?, (BPMG) it welcomes ?casual, beginner, amateur and professional photographers?, and aims to provide local opportunities for them to learn, share knowledge, and explore techniques with like-minded individuals who have a passion for, and an eagerness to practice and hone, their craft.
The goal of BPMG is to organise events and shoots in various locations around Bermuda for several photographers and models at a time, as well as hair and make-up stylists, so they can network and shoot. said.
Such events and shoots will provide beginner and intermediate photographers with an avenue to practice their craft without the stress and cost of putting together their own sessions.
Participants will first watch and learn under the guidance of professional photographers, following which they will be able to ?have a go? themselves, putting into practice their new-found knowledge.
The first of many organised events, a portfolio shoot, is planned for September 10 at Darrell?s Island, out of which will come portfolio shots for both participating photographers and models.
The launch of the group?s website (www.bpmg.bm) will enable its members to access and utilise a photo pool, where photos can be posted and commented upon by other BPMG members and local professional photographers.
