Bootsie presents 'no limits' comedy
Catch ‘em while they're hot! That's the word from Bermuda's best-loved comedian, as Bootsie's Theatre
presents ‘A Night of Comedy' featuring two of “the hottest names in hip hop comedy as seen on Comic View, Def Jam, Rap City, Apollo, Comedy Central and Caroline's” in back-to-back shows this weekend.
Chris Thomas is known as the mayor of Rap City on Black Entertainment Television, and fast-talking, witty Andrew (Drew) Fraser is described by Bootsie as “one of New York's hottest comedians”.
The duo will give two performances at The Last Tee at the Ocean View Golf Club on Saturday evening, one at 8 p.m. and one at 10.30 p.m.
“Chris is the man,” says Bootsie of Mr. Thomas. “I have been trying for three years to bring these comedians to Bermuda, and to have both of them on stage at once is a dream come true. Trust me, they are hilarious.”
Joining them on the bill will be Bootsie himself, plus some new, budding local comedians.
“It is time for people who are into comedy to get a nice workout and see what it is really about,” Bootsie says of their inclusion. “There are no limits to comedy, so this is an opportunity for the local comedians to see what it's all about and how far they can go.”
While stressing that Saturday's performances are “R” rated adult shows, Bootsie also says the material will not be obscene.
