Brides-to-be swooned at the Seventh Annual Bridal Fair held on Sunday afternoon.

Brides and their prospective grooms were treated to 54 vendors and a bridal fashion show on two floors at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess.

Anthony's, a men's formal wear shop, has coordinated the event for the past seven years.

Held on the top floor of the hotel, where guests were entertained by musician Shine Hayward before a fashion show that packed most of the ballroom, the fair was the place to be for the commitment minded.

Bridal, bridesmaid, junior bridesmaid, flower girl and mother-of-the-bride gowns were all showcased.

The dresses were provided by Bermuda's one and only bridal attire shop, Bells Are Ringing.

Men also got a preview of formal wear available from Anthony's or English Sport Shop at the fashion show.

"This has been very successful," said one shy bride-to-be of her time at the fair.

During the fashion show guests were also serenaded by young Nhoj-trebor Steede who broke the hearts of many of the women who crowded the ballroom.

Nicola Swain, who is newly engaged, arrived just in time for the fashion show and was pleased with the rest that the fair had to offer.

"There's lots of information but I'm a little overwhelmed because I'm only in the planning stages," she said.

From the caterers, which included Flying Chef Catering Service, Catering by Carlos, Little Venice Group and Wilks Catering to financial planners from Bank of Bermuda and Bank of Butterfield, brides and grooms would not leave the event unprepared for their big day.

"My boyfriend would kill me if he knew I was here," said one woman who wished not to be named.

"We're not getting married for another year but there's so much information here and so many booths, everything you can possibly think of is here," she added.

The fair also offered booths from photographers and videographers to capture the wedding, travel planners from C-Travel, florists, health and beauty booths handing out samples, samples of wedding cakes from Crow Lane Bakery and even a ribbon-bedecked Renault to escort the wedding party.

Guests left the event armed with everything they needed to plan the perfect wedding.
