"Daly's Christmas Adventure" is an honourable mention.

Once upon a time there lived Daly the reindeer. He lived at the North Pole. He was seven years old.

Daly had silky, brown fur that sparkled like bronze. Daly was too young to pull Santa's sleigh at Christmas but had dreams of travelling the world.

It was two days before Christmas and everyone at Santa's workshop was so busy, they did not have time for Daly. So Daly wondered off. Daly landed in Bermuda. He thought people who lived in this island didn't celebrate Christmas.

He rode a motor-cycle to the beaches.He went to the Aquarium and Zoo and he saw lots of animals. He met Frank the flamingo while he was walking around the Aquarium and Zoo. He asked if they celebrated Christmas here? Frank said "I am not sure if they celebrate Christmas here". Daly said "thank you" and walked on through the Aquarium and Zoo.

The next animal he met was, Liam the lemur. Liam said "I don't know if they celebrate Christmas here". Daly said "thank you" and walked on. Next he met Teddy the tortoise. Daly asked Teddy if they celebrate Christmas here. Teddy said "they do celebrate

Christmas here". But Daly said "why is there no snow here"? Teddy said "even if there is no snow in Bermuda it is still Christmas because we are with family and friends on this special day and that is what Christmas is all about".

That night Daly slept at the Aquarium and Zoo with Teddy the tortoise.On Christmas morning the door opened, it was Santa. Daly woke up and said "Santa is that you"?

Santa said "Ho-Ho-Ho, Daly I have been looking for you". Daly said "I have been looking for you too Santa and I want to go home now."

Bermuda is a beautiful island and I will miss all my new friends at the Aquarium and Zoo but I want to go home to share Christmas with my family and friends".

That Christmas morning Daly even got to help pull Santa's sleigh back to the North Pole. When Daly and Santa arrived at the North Pole they went to Santa's workshop and there to meet them was Daly's parents. Daly was so happy to see them as all he wanted for Christmas was to be with his parents.
