Emancipation exhibit open to the public

The public is invited to view an exhibition of documents relating to the Emancipation of Slavery next month at the Bermuda Archives.
The documents, dating back to 1834, are selected from the collections at the Archives located on the lower level of the Government Administration building. They are open for viewing from August 1-31, times 9-4.45 p.m.
On display are items including the Bermuda Emancipation Act, the British Abolition Act, and the Bermuda Slave Register ? one of four that cover a 13-year period.
