Fat Man Scoop will keep the party happenin'
On Friday night when stumps are drawn and another Cup Match is consigned to history, the party will be far from over as far as Outlaw Production Teams and Phaze I Interactive Entertainment are concerned. The two promoters have put together a major entertainment scene mixing the best in hip hop, R&B, calypso, remixes and reggae, and featuring local and American entertainers.
The event will take place at St. David's cricket field, with doors opening at 8 p.m.
Making his first visit to the Island from New York will be rapper-entertainer Fat Man Scoop of hip hop/R&B FM station Hot 97. He will be accompanied by his own DJ, Knuckles. CoCoA ChaneLLe also from FM Hot 97 and a popular favourite with local audiences, will be making a return visit. Comedian Zooman, from BET Comic View and Def Jam Comedy, completes the visiting line-up.
Two local DJ groups will also keep the crowd hopping. Kurvin (Dropped Up) Spence, Kutchie, Monsta, Skandelous, known collectively as Play Bwoy Outlaw Movement, will spin the sounds their fans love best, including reggae, hip hop, R&B and remixes, while 4 Play Interactive (Sticky & Hydro) will play hip hop, R&B and calypso.
Other entertainment includes beach ball bouncing and a laser light show. Special guests are Rap Sensations, Method Man and Red Man.
There will be full bar service and food available, and a special celebrity tent for purchasers of gold VIP ($50) tickets, the price of which will include free Belvedere and champagne all night.
The show is being sponsored by Pepsi, Metro Beverages Ltd., Nia Water, Outlaw Production, Phaze 1 Entertainment Inc., After Dark Promotions, and Bellatore.
