Jury members named for festival
The Bermuda International Film Festival and Butterfield Bank yesterday announced the make-up of the three juries that will select the winning films at the second annual BIFF Kids Film Festival, to be held at Liberty Theatre beginning today until October16.
Judging the films suitable for Ages Five and Up will be Mary Glass, a nine-year old student at Bermuda High School (BHS), seven-year-old Alexander McCallum of Harrington Sound Primary, and Caroline Skinner, seven, also a student at BHS. Selecting the winning films in the Ages Ten and Up category will be 11-year-olds Pierre Basden of Clearwater Middle School, and Signe Constable, who is home-schooled.
The winning films in the Ages 13 and Up category will be selected by Saltus Grammar School students, Nicholas Rinehimer, 15, and Christopher Frith, 14, as well as Cynthia Bean, 15, of Mount St. Agnes Academy and 14-year-old Jordan Hames, a student at BHS.
Tickets to the BIFF Kids Film Festival are available online at www.biff.bm until 2 p.m. today. The walk-up box office is open today at the Logic Internet Caf?, 10-12 Burnaby Street, Hamilton from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Tickets will also be available at the Liberty Theatre today from 5-7 p.m. and tomorrow and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
