Leikisha Shanai Woods was joined in marriage to Jerrod L. Nelson on June 25 on Elbow Beach.

The bride's parents are Sharon Woods of Sandys Parish and Harry Woods of Hamilton Parish.

The groom's parents are Bruce and Patricia Nelson of Colorado Springs, USA.

The bridal gown was from David's Bridals, Colorado. She wore a white satin gown that featured a beaded crystal bodice draped skirt and inset that also featured beaded crystals.

The Maid-of-Honour was Tiffany Alexander, cousin of the bride.

The Maid-of-Honour's gown was from Costanza Bridals, Florida. She wore an aqua lamore satin strapless A-line gown with draped front and an asymmetrical panel with beaded bodice with clear crystal and rhinestones. Her bouquet from El Shaddai Florist consisted of pale pink roses and white mini calla lilies.

The Bridesmaid was Jasmin Robinson, cousin of the bride. Her gown and flowers were the same as the maid-of-honour.

The best man was Bryan Nelson, the brother of the groom.

The minister was Floyd Rawlins, assistant minister of the Brighton Hill Road Church of Christ.

Wayne Davis, the cousin of the bride, provided the music on keyboard. The processional was an instrumental version of "Always & Forever" by Heatwave. The recessional was The Wedding Song.

The reception was held in the Ocean Suite at Elbow Beach. The honeymoon was spent in Aspen, Colorado.

The groom is a satellite operator in the US Air Force Reserve. The bride is studying toward a Bachelor's in Social Work.
