Places open for Paget Island aquatic camp

Government is running an eight-week residential aquatic camp on Paget Island this summer.Camp Pequot costs $150 per week per child (for a maximum of two weeks) and provides aquatic, sporting and social activities for young people.Participants have the opportunity to enjoy an overnight camp in a ?home away from home? atmosphere; be exposed to nature and outdoor and water activities; to develop self-respect, team building and co-operation skills and to become healthy and fit.

Participants have the opportunity to enjoy an overnight camp in a ?home away from home? atmosphere; be exposed to nature and outdoor and water activities; to develop self-respect, team building and co-operation skills and to become healthy and fit.

Participants in Camp Pequot must be competent swimmers, be able to take care of their own personal care needs and be able to move around independently.

Each week of Camp Pequot will cater to the following age groups:

Week 1: June 28 - July 2: Ages 12 - 16 years

Week 2: July 2 - July 7: Ages 8 - 11 years

Week 3: July 9 - July 14: Ages 8 - 11 years

Week 4: July 16 - July 21: Ages 8 - 11 years

Week 5: July 23 - July 28: Ages 12 - 16 years

Week 6: Aug 6 - Aug 11: Ages 8 - 11 Years

Week 7: Aug 13 - Aug 18: Ages 8 - 11 years

Week 8: Aug 20 - Aug 25: Ages 8 - 11 years
