Society has a tweet in store for its feathered friends

For the birds: Year Seven students from Warwick Academy have made bluebird nest boxes as part of their design and technology course.

Bermuda Audubon Society patron Lady Vereker will host the society?s annual bluebird nest box workshop at Government House on Saturday.

Society vice president Andrew Dobson said: ?Many nest boxes were destroyed in Hurricane Fabian, and this is the public?s chance to come and make a replacement of their own or place one in their garden for the first time.

?As this is the society?s 50th year, our aim is to make at least 50 boxes. Members of the committee will be available to help with construction and offer advice on monitoring the box.?Anyone interested in attending the workshop must register with the Audubon Society by emailing on infoaudobon.bm or call 238-3239.

Families are especially welcome to join the event which takes place from 9 a.m. to noon.
