On August 30 2005, Susan M. Hamza wed Peter Neil Adhemar at St. Mary the Virgin Catholic Church in Warwick Parish.

Susan is the daughter of the Mr. and Mrs. C. R. S. Elford of Somerset, Bermuda (deceased).

Peter is the son of Mr. Edgar Adhemar and the late Mrs. Barbara Adhemar of the United Kingdom.

The bride was given away by her son, Mohamed S. Hamza, Jr.

The bride?s gown was Vera Wang design ? made by Ingrid Mulhoffer in the UK. It was of 42 metres of pearl white chiffon trimmed with seed pearls. The bride?s bouquet was three wedding lilies tied with white satin with seed pearls.

Boutonnieres were white roses and orchids.

The groom wore a single miniature wedding lily.

The flower girls carried baskets filled with white rose petals and orchids.

The church was decorated with white orchids tied with satin on pens and pedestals of white roses and orchids ? all from Petals of Bermuda.

Attendants were: The bride?s daughters, Nadia and Alia, son Mohamed Jr. and his wife Stephanie. The groom?s son Joe, and daughters Anna and Isobel, son-in-law Rob Clark and daughter-in-law, Sarah Adhemar.

The flower girls were Evie Clarke ? four years old and Lucy Adhemar ? three years old.

The page boys were grandsons, Alfie Adhemar ? five years old and Sam Clarke ? two years old.

The assistant to the best man was Lukas Adhemar - 10 years old.

The flowergirls? dresses were pure silk with cream bodice and aqua skirt.

The page boys outfits were white linen shirts and trousers with matching aqua silk waistcoats.

The officiating officer was the Ven. Andrew Doughty ? Archdeacon of Bermuda.

The organist was William Duncan.

Berta Barreto-Hogan ? soprano and the bride?s daughter Alia Hamza sang the Flower Duet from Lakme and Panis Angelicus during the signing of the register.

The reception music was by the Toni Bari Trio.

Church reading were by Jude Doidge ? a lifelong friend of the bride and Anna Adhemar, the groom?s eldest daughter ? a love poem was written by her for the wedding.

The best man was Joseph Adhemar ? the groom?s son

Ushers were Rob Clarke and Lukas Adhemar (son-in-law and grandson).

The reception was held at The Beach Terrace at The Elbow Beach Hotel.

A wedding lunch was held afterwards at Cafe Lido.

The bride and attendants hair was by Mr. Ian Shaw of Strands.

The honeymoon was spent in Bermuda with all the children and grandchildren ? a group honeymoon.

Their future home is in Harrington sound, Bermuda.

The groom is a retired airline captain, a former RAF pilot, a keen conservationist, ornithologist and golfer.

The bride is a Consultant Psychologist who recently returned to Bermuda, specialising in health issues.
