Tall Ships book to go on `sail' in North America

A Bermuda photographer's book on the Tall Ships Race 2000 has been taken on by a major North American distributor.

The book has been taken on by Biblio, which is part of the National Book Netowork owned by Ingrams the largest distributors in the US, who will sell the book throughout the United States and Canada.

Ian Macdonald-Smith's book, Setting Sail for the New Millennium, will go on sale in January in North America. The book, which was launched in August in Bermuda, is already available in Europe.

"I am thrilled the book will now be widely distributed to all the ports involved in the race and throughout North America, the United Kingdom and Europe," said Mr. Macdonald-Smith. "A lot of people were involved with the race and I tried to capture their spirit in the book."

Mr. Macdonald-Smith travelled with the tall ships from port-to-port and include shots of the stop-over in Bermuda.
