The emphasis is on unique at Christmas gift boutique
If you are looking for a place to get unique gifts then the second annual Christmas Gift Boutique might be something to attend. It will take place at the Masterworks Foundation, in the Rose Garden Gallery from November 28 to November 30.
The boutique is organised by Megan Boyle, Elizabeth (Liz) Richardson and Heather Brewer.
?We travel overseas to various gift and accessory shows to buy the merchandise along with finding rare and unique items through smaller vendors that we have personal contacts with,? Ms Boyle said.
?Some of the interesting finds we will offer customers this year are personal accessories from handbags to totes, scarves, embroidered belts and a lot of costume jewellery from all over.
?We also have a large selection of home decorative ware from plates, place-mats and beautiful serving pieces to more novelty home d?cor items such as decorative mercury balls and large porcelain clam shells to fill and display.?
For the perfect hostess or favourite teacher there are gifts such as candles, decorative votives and speciality food items.
?And last but certainly not least we have some great children?s gifts and ideas for the men on your list, and even small items for pets,? Ms Boyle added.
?A lot of the things we have are packaged nicely as ready to go gifts.
?The prices are good and we bought things that range from $5 to $200 so there is something for everyone.?
The trio makes a special effort to offer unique gifts each year.
?We made a conscious effort not to repeat many of the same things from last year, but some of our best selling things from last year we brought back by popular demand,? Ms Boyle said.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Masterworks.
The Christmas Gift Boutique will be open November 28 from 5 to 8 p.m., and November 29 and 30 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will also be an open cocktail reception at the opening on the 28th.
