What's on in St. George's this month

Barbara Holmes Simon, membership coordinator, of The St. George's Foundation wishes to inform the public of the following events which are scheduled every Wednesday in January and February, 2004:there is a walking tour of the Town of St. George, which departs from the Visitors' Service Bureau on the Town Square.The St. George?s Historical Society (at the corner of Printer?s Alley and Duke of Kent Street), for a donation of $5.00, will offer a tour of their historic Mitchell House, a piece of home-made banana bread and a cup of (Bermuda) hot tea.meet the Mayor, The Hon. E. Michael Jones, in The Town Hall.public punishment is carried out on the Town Square at the Ducking Stool. another walking tour of the town, departing from the Visitors' Service Bureau on the Town Square.

And at in the Cruise Ship Terminal on Ordnance Island, (home of the replica of the ), town manager, Lance Furbert will be giving a very interesting and informative hour long talk about the historic Town of St. George and related fortifications. Several good reasons to plan to "head eastward" on a Wednesday. That's every Wednesday in January and February 2004!
