Yolanda Bashir-Paige earns architecture degree

Yolanda Bashir-Paige, daughter of Barbara and Edwin Bashir, graduated on Saturday, May 10, 2003 with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the School of Engineering, Computer Sciences and Architecture at Howard University, Washington D.C.

Yolanda was a recipient of the Bermuda Institute of Architecture scholarship award, the Howard University School of Engineering Trustees award and the Bermuda Government Further Education award.

Yolanda maintained a 3.8 GPA and graduated on the dean's honour role with magna cum laude honours. She was adopted into the allied Honour Society for Architecture and won the Gold Medal for design in senior year. Attending the ceremony were mother, father, husband Kurtis Paige, family and friends.
