Oddfellows link up for seniors' service

The Somerset and Hamilton Districts of the Independent Order of Oddfellows, Manchester Unity were well represented on Sunday when they joined for a seniors citizens' service at St. James' Anglican Church, Somerset.
The Young at Heart Club of Sandys, under president Mrs. Dorothy Morrisey, annually organises the seniors' service with an ecumenical perspective, and the reception following in the church hall.
Guest preacher was the Rev. Betty L. Furbert Woolridge, pastor of Allen Temple AME. Mrs. Islowe Wade, who is both an Oddfellow and church choir member, was the worship leader.
Mrs. Viola Rogers of the Church of God, Somerset, invoked the opening prayer, while the parish rector, the Ven.Archdeacon Dr. Arnold Hollis, gave the benediction.
