Premier talks to 'sophisticated' Berkeley class

It will be recalled how students of the "Citizenship" class of the Berkeley Institute were given special accommodation by Premier Ewart Brown to hear the Throne Speech at the formal opening of Parliament on November 4.

They are seenat left with copies of the Throne Speech given them by Dr. Brown, along with a promise to visit their class.

On the right the Premier is seen during his visit to the school this week, participating in the lesson plan of the class called "Citizenship".

The Premier said afterwards he enjoyed talking with the young people.

"I could tell they had listened to and read the Throne Speech. They were ready to talk about Government initiatives at a very sophisticated level."

Teacher Owen Darrell says his class has been focusing on a wide range of topics relating to the Constitution, the Legislature and Judiciary.
