Club with 'mature vibe' opens
A new club offering 'the mature vibe you're looking for' launches tomorrow night with drink specials, showgirls and laser lights.
Club Vegas, a place where everyone will be treated like a VIP, officially opens its doors at Number 6 Shed on Front Street Saturday night at 10 p.m.
Promoters said they felt there was a void in the Island's nightlife for the mature crowd, ages 25 to 45, and wanted to fill it by creating parties with a Vegas theme.
The three consecutive parties beginning tomorrow night, will offer patrons laser lights, drink specials all night, giveaways and the best DJs playing the hottest music.
Each week will feature guest DJs beginning with Jugglin Jason and Shock-N-Lust.
Because these events are geared to an older crowd, security will be tight and ID is a must to get in. There will be security guards using metal detector scanners to check everyone that enters the building.
A dress code is also in effect: no sneakers, logo shirts, inappropriate head wear or hats.
The men who attend will get a treat with showgirls littering the party.
The girls, JaKoMa models, will greet people at the door, participate in giveaways and work at the bar.
One of the things that will set Club Vegas apart is the unique ambiance promoters are planning.
Displayed throughout the venue will be Club Vegas themed banners and various visual effects to create a clubbing experience like no other offered in Bermuda.
Music will include old school R&B, reggae, hip-hop with a splash of the latest hits.
There will also be tons of giveaways throughout the night and a vendor will be selling glow-in-the-dark party favours.
Promoters are expecting a full house and are telling patrons to come early to ensure a spot inside.
Another great thing about Club Vegas is every week, part of the proceeds will go to a chosen charity.
Flyers, emails and radio ads will serve as advertisement to notify the public of the next spat of parties which will begin mid-December.
Cover charge is $20 for ladies and fellas and the first 50 ladies each week will receive one free drink.
