Top dog show set for next week
Preparations are well under way by the Bermuda All Breed Club to once again host the November International Championship Dog Show, which will take place in the main ring of the Botanical Gardens between November 7 and 11.
Approximately 45 dogs, plus handlers and owners will arrive from Canada and the United States, and they will compete with about the same number of local dogs during the four-day event.
Judging will begin at 8.30 a.m. each day, with three judges from Canada — Thomas Nesbitt, Richard and Wendy Paquette, and three from the United States — Keke Khan, Dr. Gerard Penta and Mrs. Penta, doing the honours.
There will be only one show on November 7 and 11, but two shows (morning and afternoon) on November 8 and 10. There will be no show on November 9.
Admission is free, and all are welcome, but the public is reminded that only dogs entered in the shows are permitted on the show grounds.
