Don't have a ticket? Watch the the golf at Barrs Bay Park

If you don't have tickets to the PGA Grand Slam of Golf, don't worry. You can watch it on a projection screen right next to the water.

Premier Ewart Brown has announced a plan to "Turn Bermuda On!" during the golf tournament.

On the last day, October 17, the Department of Tourism will be hosting a viewing party with a 30-foot projection screen at Barrs Bay Park for the public.

Dr. Brown said: "We hope all of Bermuda can gather together and celebrate this event together. Barrs Bay is the perfect location. It's central and right on the water. I think Bermudians are really going to respond well to this."

The event will allow fans to attend the event in the day and go to the viewing parties at night. Also, those who aren't able to attend the event will also be able to watch the tournament in the evening.

Dr. Brown said visitors will also be invited to the viewing party to enjoy the fun with locals.

In addition to the viewing party, the department has also planned warm up events on October 16.

Twenty 33-inch LCD flat screen television will be distributed to restaurants, recreation clubs and golf clubhouses as part of "Turn Bermuda On". The viewing party will take place on October 17 from 6 to 10 p.m.

The PGA Grand Slam of Golf begins on Monday, October 15 with the Champions Clinic and Pro-Am. The two-day tournament will be played on October 16 and 17.

This year's players include US Open Champion Angel Cabrera, Masters Champion Zach Johnson, Open Championship winner Padraig Harrington and 2003 US Open winner Jim Furyk, a substitute for Tiger Woods.
