Splash: It will be a party like no other

The New Year’s Eve party at the Splash Night Club aims to take you on a trip to the far east. A Splash spokesman told The Royal Gazette that they were planning a party like no other. “It is going to be an Asian type of theme party, so the whole place is going to have an Asian look,” he said.“We are going to have suspended stages with dancers, it is going to be something crazy, but always with taste — we don’t like to do any vulgar type entertainment.”

When asked whether patrons should dress in Asian-styled gear, he said: “Well it would be good for the image, but all the staff will have an Asian-type of look.

“I also have a local Asian girl and she will be serving a lychee and champagne mimosa. We’ll be open until 6 a.m. and at 5 a.m. we will be serving breakfast for everyone.”

But if Splash is where you aim to be, then the spokesman said: “At 2 p.m. we are going to close the gates and that means after that time nobody comes in unless you are a member or a VIP, and in that case we will make an exception.

“But we have very, very limited tickets available because the way we run Splash is that we always want the same Splash crowd. I don’t want people with a different type of mentality there. I want my staff to be safe.”

He added that the style of music that Splash is known for will be the same. “It will be a little bit for everybody and I am hoping that we are going to have a good night,” he said.

He added: “I didn’t want to go crazy with the door price, like $100 or so - I want to make it all the way around.

“New Year’s Eve is a special event, but we are there to give a service and that is it.”

The door charge $50 and that includes the mimosa, a glass of champagne and breakfast in the morning.
