ANCOP International (Bermuda) is raising money for poor families affected by Hurricane Sidr in Bangladesh and other home projects in the Philippines and local projects as well. Filipino Canadian singer, Joey Albert , the organisation's ambassador to North America, will perform along with Bermuda Idol 2007 and Bermuda Teen Idol 2007 and many others. Bermuda National Gallery lunchtime lecture series in conjunction with the Bermuda Maritime Museum present Gravestones of Bermuda: Material Culture and the Atlantic Economy Over Three Centuries, with Dr. Bruce S. Elliott, professor of History at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, from 12.30 p.m. to 1.30 p.m. $5 donation from non-members and members of BMM and BNG free.

April 5

BIFF Wrap Party: Volcanic Productions presents live performances by Langhorne Slim and the War Eagles and the debut performance of Bermuda's most ignorant reggae artist 'UZIMON' (having recently sold a quarter-million tracks on iTunes). A selection of original and reproduction photographs depicting Bermuda, which were used as evidence in the scientific reports of the Challenger voyage, 1872-76. From the Fay and Geoffrey Elliott Collection. 'U-505 Captured', an exhibit that tells the remarkable story of the capture off western Africa and the hiding of the submarine U-505 at Bermuda.
