Art festival seeks local work
Bank of Butterfield Grand Art Festival by the Sea.
"Bermuda: A new Century'' is the theme for a competition at the exhibition, with winners selected from every age group.
It costs $5 to enter work for the Island's biggest exhibition, and entries must be submitted by April 20.
Members of the public will be able to vote for their favourite work in the People's Choice selection, which attracted 3,000 votes last year.
Artwork must be delivered to Masterworks Gallery by May 4 and the festival takes place on Front Street on May 20. Forms are available from Bank of Butterfield, the Masterworks Gallery, Artcetera, and Frameworks.
Those who find inspiration on the day can enter the Quick Art competition to try to capture the essence of the event.
All proceeds go toward a scholarship fund for a young Bermudian to attend Fine Arts College programme, and Bank of Butterfield will contribute $5,000.
There will be a children's area, a mural painting contest for middle schools, and hot food available all day.
