transplant was seen by millions of Americans watching a TV special.

Dr. Brock, a surgeon at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore was featured on "Hopkins 24/7'', a six-part series on US network ABC.

The first part of the series was the fifth most popular TV episode in the US last week when it was watched in 8.4 million homes.

On Wednesday's episode, Dr. Brock, then part of the hospital's transplant team and now a cancer researcher and lecturer at what is considered by many to be the best hospital in the US, flew to a town in Pensylvania to extract the lungs of a donor and flew back to Baltimore so they could be transplanted into a teenaged patient.
