Festival has been cut short after the lead actor fell ill on stage.

`Wait Until Dark' ran for two nights before Brian Webb collapsed on stage on Wednesday, 15 minutes into the play.

Organisers considered re-arranging the play for Friday night but called off their plans when it became clear Mr. Webb could not make last night's scheduled performance, which also had to be cancelled.

Festival workers said Mr. Webb, who suffered back spasms, had been ordered to rest last night. Bermuda Festival General Manager Toni Davis said anybody holding a valid ticket for the cancelled plays could gain a refund at the Box Office before the end of the month.
