Dubbed New Orleans-themed Bourbon St. Lounge is adjacent to the existing Coconut Rock restaurant and bar.

Coconut Rock principals Gary Silva, Shane DeSilva, Christian Hertzog and Mike Swan have made a "substantial'' investment in the new entertainment room, Petty Enterprises Ltd. president Peter Petty said.

Mr. Petty was retained to design and create the customised "warehouse-style'' room.

The move involved converting existing storage and offices into more dining space for daytime patrons and a venue for live music and interactive CD-ROM entertainment at night.

"I'm interested in bringing in jazz and blues bands, we want to showcase some well-known people, and even considering using the room for dinner theatres,'' said Mr. Petty, who is also handling promotion and advertising.

The 900-square-foot room took about ten weeks to set up, he said.
