Chefs to square off
in the annual Bermuda Master Chef Cook-Off at the Chef's Shop on Par-La-Ville Road.
This is the third successive year this event has been held and over 20 chefs have participated each year. This much anticipated competition allows the Island's most talented and imaginative chefs to create and present original recipes under preset rules and guidelines.
Each original entre me recipe must incorporate one of four chosen Gosling Brothers products.
The Master Chef Cook-Off is a great opportunity for the public to watch a variety of chefs prepare a signature dish. Audience members will also have a chance to sample everything prepared! Previous winners are Chef Neville King (1995) of the Chancery Wine Bar and Pastry Chef Kayte Gregory of Fourways Inn (1996).
All ticket proceeds are donated to local charities and over $6,000 has been donated in the last two years. Previous charitable recipients have been Meals on Wheels, Age Concerns, and the red Cross. This year the proceeds will be donated to the Patients Assistance League (PALS).
The competition is sponsored by Gosling Brothers, the Supermart on Front Street, International Imports and the Bermuda Chefs Association.
Tickets will be available at the Chef's Shop, Gosling Brothers on the corner of Front Street and Queen Street and any PALS volunteer. For more information contact International Imports.
