Conspiracy theorist to return
after last Sunday's talk was cancelled due to an illness to the local promoter.
David Tucker said people will get a full refund on the $95 tickets and he said they will cost only $55 for the November talk at CedarBridge after a donation from a private benefactor.
Mr. Icke believes that the world is controlled by a secret society of people called the Illuminati who plan to microchip ordinary folk and log them on a central computer.
Mr. Tucker denied he was promoting a mad man.
He said: "You would have to do research to understand it.'' He said Mr. Icke also believed that the world was in a 26,000-year-cycle which was coming to its end soon and would bring floods and earthquakes.
He said: "In Japan you saw this the other day. You are getting it more and more. There's a rising of water. We have documents to verify it. Either you can believe or you can continue living life as you see fit.
"This isn't anti-Christian. It's more like getting knowledge. It's outside the box. It has never been exposed to the public. David is going round the world by storm. He's teaching about the global structure.'' He said Bermuda was too materialistic and could learn from Mr. Icke's message.
Mr. Tucker said about 250 people had bought tickets to see Mr. Icke who was a professional football goalkeeper, then television sports journalist before opting to spread his views on world conspiracy.
He spoke at a private lecture in December, 1998, in Bermuda attended by more than 150 people according to Mr. Tucker.
On his website Mr. Icke is quoted as saying: "One person's madness can be another's common sense. Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground.''
