Edinburgh will give a concert at St. John's Church this coming Sunday.

Presented by the Dunbarton School of Music, the programme will include music by well-known English and Continental composers, including Bach's famous Prelude and Fugue in D Major as well as music by Handel, Elgar and Cesar Franck.
Dr. Townhill, who has toured extensively in Europe and the US, taught at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and was also elected a Fellow of the Royal School of Church Music. Also well known as a conductor, he was a major contributor to the Edinburgh Festival and in 1992 was awarded the O.B.E. for his services to organ and church music.
Dunbarton School director, Mr. Graham Garton and Dr. Townhill were fellow choristers at Lincoln Cathedral School and have remained friends ever since.
