For it has helped pay for a new $25,000 trombone stop for the organ at St.

James' Church.

Organisers of the four-day Front Street fair, which allowed businesses to display their wares, were Warwick-based Saladmaster.

Admission was $10, although it was cut to $5 on the last day.

Now Mr. Junius Durrant, from Saladmaster, has presented a cheque to Canon Arnold Hollis, from St. James' Church.

Mr. Durrant was reluctant to divulge the size of the cheque, but described it as "substantial''.

Said Rev. Hollis yesterday: "We needed a new trombone stop to give our organ a richer and deeper sound.'' He added the church was also raising funds for a new $60,000 organ console.

"We want a movable console to allow the organist to see the choir and congregation, which he can't do at present.''
