Today and tomorrow evening, families can sit on their blankets with their picnic baskets at the PHC stadium and see a collection of the finest skits going back to the first Gina Spence production.

It's a "Masterpiece''.

Today and tomorrow evening, families can sit on their blankets with their picnic baskets at the PHC stadium and see a collection of the finest skits going back to the first Gina Spence production.

The 8 p.m. show which is titled Masterpiece, encompasses performing arts and has something for everyone.

"Every skit, which is the original work of Bermuda cast members, has a message which deals with things like religion, social ills, the gay situation dealing with what gays go through in the community giving a general outlook, and student's ideas about the mega-school and how different groups would get along,'' Mrs. Gina Spence Bean said.

The show which has a cast of 60, also has a few skits which involve children one of which consists of little superstars titled Someone Shrunk the Stars.

"The production will take the audience through a time tunnel and they can dance to reggae, oldie goldies and R&B songs some of which are sung by duo group His and Hers,'' Mrs. Spence Bean said.

She added: "We are trying to encourage families to attend the show therefore, the first 50 children who arrive at the show by 7.30 p.m. can get in free.

They must be 10-years-old or younger and accompanied by an adult.

"Food stalls will be set up and the night will be filled with entertainment and fun. People always say there is nothing to do in Bermuda for families and because of that Gina Spence Productions tries to cater to families.'' Tickets for the show can be purchased from the City Hall box office between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. for $15 for adults and $5 for children. Part proceeds will be donated to His House. The rain date for the show will be Sunday.
