Island serves up a tasty
when it features on a cable television show.
Food Fantasy, which is broadcast on the Food Network, features a couple who take a dream culinary holiday to the Island.
Canadian couple Kevin Prendergast, a prominent New York chef, and his fiance Karen Krugel, a public relations officer who also works in the Big Apple, were selected to enjoy the delights of Bermudian cuisine.
Mr. Prendergast, the executive sous chef at the 2000-room Marriott Marquis Hotel in Manhattan, teams up with Thomas Frost, the executive sous chef at the Fairmont Southampton Princess to cook a lobster meal.
And the couple enjoy brunch on the beach at the Whaler Inn during their four day stay.
The programme features the couple foraging for local ingredients such as seafood for the meal.
Ms Krugel told The Royal Gazette : "We had a wonderful time even though we came in November. The weather was terrific.'' Lou Hammond and Associates, the Tourism Deparment's New York-based marketing company, pitched the idea to the show.
The programme goes out tomorrow at 10.30 p.m. on Channel 52.
