Bermuda last May will receive its world premiere on the Island, it has been announced.

Following the initial airings of the Samuel L. Jackson Celebrity Golf Classic programme in Bermuda, the show will be broadcast worldwide to an estimated audience of 12 million plus viewers.

Mr. Jackson and tournament organisers Canadian Connection Sports and Entertainment Inc. donated the show to ZBM to thank Bermudians for their support.

The programme will be shown on August 6 at 8 p.m. on ZBM TV-9 and then again on August 12 at the same time and channel.

Internationally, BET, ESPN 2 and ESPN International in the United States, Canada's The Global Network, France's Canal , England's Channel 4, Europe's Eurosport and stand-alone stations in Australia and New Zealand will broadcast the programme.

More broadcasters are expected to be added in upcoming months.

The tournament raised $242,700 for The Council Partners Charitable Trust in Bermuda and The Catalogue for Giving in New York.
