The cafe is located immediately outside the restaurant on a stretch of sidewalk expanded by the Corporation of Hamilton specifically to hold the new cafe.

Mr. Emilio Barbieri, managing director of the Little Venice, explained that he has been working on the idea for several months with the help of the Corporation.

The cafe will feature the same menus as the main restaurant and will perhaps also serve coffees and snacks in the morning and afternoon.

When asked whether he had any concerns about being so close to the road and the ACE construction site, Mr. Barbieri said he did not.

And Corporation secretary Roger Sherratt added that when the building is completed Bermudiana Road will be one of the City's most attractive streets.

The cafe is expected to open in the next day or so.
