MPI was chartered in Bermuda in September, 1996 and has 60 members in the related field of conference and event planning. Ms. Jacqueline Horsfield is the current president. In June of this year Josee Roy-Froncioni will assume the reins as president.

Ms Horsfield said: "People with a direct interest in the outcome of meetings are individuals, public, or private organisations involved in the meeting industry who can benefit from or make a contribution to MPI.'' Facts about MPI MPI is the world's largest association of meeting professionals.

MPI was established in 1972 in Chicago, Illinois.

By training professional meeting managers at all levels, MPI seeks to upgrade the total meeting experience for attendees while improving the efficiency and effectiveness of meetings.

The Bermuda Chapter of MPI agreed to donate coordination and consulting services to the Career Expo, April 7, 1998 because of the tremendous contribution of the project to young people in Bermuda.
