Stars fly in for soca festival
Cricket Club is the place to be on May 21 for "Bermuda Socacluster, Night of the Stars''.
Entertainment will feature all the old and new soca sounds.
The show, which has been organised by Treble Clef Productions, will include the group Red Plastic Bag who will perform their number one party song "Regga Regga'', along with many others.
Spice and Company, Emile Straker, Ras Iley, Mr. Mac Fingall, and Serenader will also be performing, backed by the Coalition -- an 11-piece brass band consisting of saxophones, trumpets, and trombones.
Spokesperson for Treble Clef, Mr. David Frost said the night promised to be "filled with fun''.
"We're looking for a good crowd of people and the tickets are going fast,'' he said.
Spice and Company, who performed in Bermuda last summer, will be back with their latest song titled "Peacetrain''.

Mac Fingal, who will MC the international part of the show, appeared with Red Plastic Bag on their CD titled "Happiness'', and will perform some of his own songs.
And Emile Straker, who is the eldest of the soca singers performing and known as the Godfather, will sing his new hit "Bobbit'', which is the top soca song in Barbados.
Ras Iley, will sing his number one carnival song "Inez'' which had a Caribbean awards nomination for song of the year.
And MC for the local show Mr. Larry Thomas will introduce the Bermuda National Soca Squad which consists of 11 of Bermuda's top musicians.
The groups have sent out a special invitation to all the Bermudians who danced with them at the Test Match in Barbados and the carnival in Jamaica to come to Somerset and party with them again.
