Mr. Brown yesterday told The Royal Gazette after losing his briefcase -- described as a black canvas bag with symmetry written in gold on it -- on Monday, he received a call during the early hours of Tuesday morning.

A woman, calling herself Gina Smith, told Mr. Brown her friend Gerald Tucker had found the briefcase in the Court Street area and had planned to take it to the Police Station where he could collect it.

But, Mr. Brown said, Police had not received the briefcase as of yesterday.

And he planned to lodge an official report with them.

"If somebody can return it, I will give a roundtrip ticket to Jamaica on Brown Charters,'' Mr. Brown said.
