Youth wing revival set
Created: May 23, 1997 11:00 AM
It is hoped that Bermuda National Youth, under the direction of local jazz musician Wendell (Shine) Hayward, will inspire some of the Island's musically-gifted young people.
And the Council has organised a musical festival tomorrow at Bernard Park.
The 6.30 p.m. concert features Nettie Washington Douglass, a descendant of American abolitionist Frederick Douglass and educator Booker T. Washington.
The "highly acclaimed'' Frederick Douglass High School Marching & Jazz Bands of Georgia will also be on hand.
