AA convention at Elbow Beach
Friday, November 29 to Sunday, December 1 at the Elbow Beach Hotel.
There will be four dynamic speakers addressing the AA and Al Anon Fellowships over the weekend.
For AA the speaker will be Liz B. of New York, Paul O. of California and Fran H. of New York, and for Al Anon the speaker will be Paul O's wife.
Some 70 visitors from the US and Canada are flying in to Bermuda to support local members.
AA is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other so that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
The only requirement is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; they are self supporting through their own contributions.

*** The Tynes Bay Waste Treatment Facility will be holding an open house for the public on Saturday, November 16.
The Ministry of Works and Engineering, Parks and Housing will be hosting the open house which will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
