The 26-year old building previously stood at 56,000-square feet. Built by Sealand Construction, the project took 20 months. The changes were made after business growth over the last two years, led to the need for expansion. The extension allows AIG employees who were situated in offices around Hamilton, to join their co-workers at American International.
