The Red Cross training takes place in a fun, interactive environment, bringing confidence, competence and life skills to youths. No pressure. No stress. Just an esteem-building education that participating youth will use throughout their lives.

The training course will teach the responsibilities and qualities of being a good babysitter and what to expect from the person who hires you.

The topics will cover interviewing for a babysitting job, supervising children, performing first aid, including responding effectively to life-threatening emergencies.

Of course the basic care routines like diapering, feeding and dressing infants and children and handling bedtime issues effectively will be taught.

Leadership is a key quality in babysitting and you will learn how to have fun with kids while staying in control. You will discover the best ways to negotiate, mediate, and encourage positive behaviour.
