The late-night bar closed on Saturday, February 29, with the loss of at least four jobs.

New licensee and manager Mr. Craig Outerbridge successfully applied for a tranfer of the licence yesterday in front of the Liquor Licence Authority.

Represented by lawyer Mr. Stephen Hankey, Mr. Outerbridge asked for time before re-opening.

The sale of Oscars was conditional on the licence being approved and Mr.

Outerbridge added that certain matters needed to be addressed before it opens on July 30.

He said the bar would be open similar hours to those under the previous ownership which ran until 3 a.m. He could not say whether the same staff will be re-employed.
