He is one of the two remaining Talbot Brothers who performed at hotels and shows in Bermuda for several years.

Tuesday's tournament, at the Riddell's Bay Golf Club, is aimed at raising money for Summerhaven, a home for the physically handicapped.

Nineteen local businesses have donated prizes and the organising committee expects to generate more than $2,000.

Committee chairman and son of Mr. Talbot, Mr. Clement Talbot, said: "Over 100 invitations have been mailed to friends of Ross Talbot and the Talbot Brothers and it appears from the responses that the tournament will be oversubscribed.

"Last year we just arranged the tournament to surprise my father with a few of his friends. People suggested we should make it into more of an event this year.''
