book, "Dockyard Cats,'' and made the Bermuda Feline Assistance Bureau (BFAB) the beneficiary of all book sales.

Now, those original paintings are to further benefit the registered charity following a silent auction at the Bermuda Arts Centre at Dockyard during an Open House on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a minimum bid on each painting.

Mr. Trousdell's paintings will be displayed in the gallery from February 17 to 23.

In addition, the artist is donating a surprise new painting to be raffled, again with all proceeds going to BFAB.

The artist, who cycles everywhere, became fascinated with the daily congregation of a colony of cats in Dockyard who were fed by a volunteer with the BFAB feral feeding programme. He noted how well the cats were taken care of, and was inspired to write a children's story about them.

An accomplished artist who first came to Bermuda 14 years ago, he has donated many of his works to raise money for charity. His book is sold in local bookstores, and the paintings are destined to become collector's items.

Gallery hours at the Arts Centre are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission is free but donations are welcomed. For further information 234-2809.
