Celebrating 40 years of dance
to attend her 40-year-old school.
Mrs. Jackson is hoping to have a special reunion of her first pupils at the Jackson School of Dance to celebrate this year's big anniversary.
She said: "I know some of them have died, but there are some out there I have been unable to contact.
"Since then many young people have qualified from my school, including Dr.
June Hill and the Mayor of Hamilton's daughters, Diane and Rhonda Dismont.'' Mayor the Rt. Wor. Cecil Dismont, Premier the Hon. Sir John Swan and Minister of Community, Culture and Information the Hon. Leonard Gibbons will attend the first of the celebrations on Saturday, June 19 at City Hall.
This will be the first of eight performances of dance, music and drama, involving more than 1,000 students which will stretch into July.
