Dolan, Mackenzie, Armstrong team up for a Folk Club first
A trio of great talents will unite for a rare performance at the Bermuda Folk Club next week.
Kevin Dolan, Rod Mackenzie and Davey Armstrong will perform together for the first time in Bermuda at the Old Colony Club.
Irish singer Mr. Dolan has made his mark as a strong solo artist in the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States. He may also be remembered as a member of Bermuda's infamous "Biff Band''.
A Folk club spokesperson said: "Mr. Dolan has four albums to his credit and his melodic voice and strong songwriting skills makes his every performance a unique and entertaining experience.'' Having performed throughout Great Britain, the United States and Canada, Rod Mackenzie has two solo albums to his credit and was a member of the Mackenzie, Lewis, White Band.
Scottish-born Davey Armstrong is a master of many instruments including banjo, drums, trumpet, whistle, guitar and bass pedals. He normally plays more than one instrument at a time.
He lived in Bermuda for a number of years and accompanied several bands like "The Boyz'', "Strings `n' Things'' and "Island Andy and the Stinkies''.
The concert takes place on Saturday, November 6, with tickets priced at $8 for members and $12 for non-members.
