had better get a move on for the Christmas air mail deadlines are just around the corner. The Bermuda Post Office has issued a reminder to all residents regarding holiday mail and how to ensure that all seasons greetings arrive before Christmas Day.
Here are a list of the overseas Christmas mailing deadlines: Africa and Asia: 11.30 a.m. on November 25; New Zealand: 9.30 a.m. on November 29; Australia: 11.30 a.m. November 29; South American and British West Indies: 9.30 a.m. on December 2; Canada: 9.30 a.m. on December 4; Azores, Portugal, Europe, Jamaica and the Bahamas: 9.30 a.m. on December 6; The United Kingdom: 11.30 a.m. on December 8; and The United States: 9.30 a.m. on December 10.
If you wish to send a presents or parcels overseas via the mail to loved ones, keep in mind that those deadlines are approaching quickly.
Here are the overseas Christmas mailing deadlines for parcels: New Zealand, the Bahamas and Jamaica: 9.30 a.m. on November 30; Australia, Asia and Africa: 11.30 a.m. on November 30; Canada: 9.30 a.m. on December 3; Azores and Portugal: 11.30 a.m. on December 4; The United Kingdom: 11.30 a.m. on December 6; and The United States: 9.30 a.m. on December 8.
The mailing deadline for all local Christmas cards is 5 p.m. on December 15.
The Bermuda Post Office also urged the public to remember to put their correct return address on all outgoing mall.
And to make sure that you receive your holiday tidings before December 25, postal officials advise the public to place their house/business number in a prominent place, as required by law.
They also urge residents to keep their pets under control at all times since failure to do so could result in late or non-delivery of your mail.
