Fund VSB Telethon which is taking place on March 6.

The Telethon will feature two hours of entertainment by local musicians to raise money and spread information on services for victims of sexual and physical abuse.

So far, the Chancery Wine Bar has pledged a portion of its profits to the Telethon from a jazz evening at the bar/restaurant on Sunday night and is challenging other businesses to raise more.

And Bang Bang Hair salon owner Mr. Tony Muldoon will double all staff pledges to the telethon and has challenged other salons to do better.

"We invite all businesses to meet this challenge and to be part of the solution,'' said Telethon organiser Mrs. Sheelagh Cooper.

And she thanked the Bank of Bermuda, Bank of Butterfield, Telecom Bermuda, the Bermuda Press, the Complete Office, Matcham & Matcham and Pronto Print for their contributions to the event.

The Telethon begins at 8 p.m. Donors are urged to start gathering pledges in advance so they can call them in during the show.

Further information on the Telethon is available at 295-1150.
