Association folk singers when they present "A Caribbean Portrait'' at City Hall tonight.
The evening of West Indian literary, visual, culinary and performing arts will begin at 7 p.m. tonight in the National Gallery.
Organisers said it will give the public the opportunity to see the "stunning'' French and Spanish art works that are part of the Carib Art Exhibition now on at the Gallery.
Those attending will also be able to sample exotic Caribbean foods and hear local residents -- Mr. Ronald Lightbourne, Mr. Rawle Frederick, Mr. Michael Charles, Ms Inola Hull, and Ms Shurnette Caines -- read works by Caribbean writers Mr. Paul Keens Douglas, Nobel Prize winner Mr. Derek Walcott, and folklorist Ms Louise Bennett.
The West Indian folk singers will provide the rhythmic sounds of the Caribbean. Tickets are $10.
